The Discovering Disability project has been possible thanks to public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Thanks to a successful funding bid we were able to work with Researcher Emily Beynon to find artefacts in our collection relating to disability and invisible illness.

Historical treatments highlight the evolving nature of medical practices and the ongoing quest to find effective remedies for various health conditions. Visitors to the George Marshal Medical Museum can explore these and other medical artefacts to gain insight into the history of medicine and the innovative approaches used to treat diseases in the past.
