A free 60-minute film, made to mark the centenary of Combat Stress, capturing the compelling stories of military veterans.
George Marshall Medical Museum is pleased to be able to offer this 60-minute film, made by Combat Stress in partnership with Age Exchange and with funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, captures the compelling stories of military veterans - the camaraderie of basic training, fighting on the front line, the devastating impact of PTSD, and their enduring strength to rebuild their lives.
The film is the result of over 60 interviews with veterans who showed incredible courage in sharing their stories in the hope that the public better understand PTSD and other mental health conditions experienced by some who serve on the front line.
Once you have registered for the event, you will receive a Zoom link to an introduction with the Artistic Director of Age Exchange, and a separate link for the film, via YouTube. There will be time for a Q&A session after the film, for those who wish to ask questions about the film.
Visit combatstress.org.uk for more information about the charity.
You will be sent a Zoom Link for the event once ticket sales have stopped.
