Birth Stories Drop-in (tea, cake and a chat in the Glass Room, The Hive)

  • The Hive Sawmill Close Worcester, WR1 3PD United Kingdom (map)

Please note this event is being held at The Hive in the Glass Room (Level 0) NOT at the George Marshall Medical Museum.

Voices of Motherhood and George Marshall Medical Museum are collecting Worcestershire’s birth stories. From home births, hospital births at Shrub Hill and Ronkswood, to ‘Covid births’, come along to find out what we’ve learnt so far and share your own story with the project team over coffee and a slice of cake. With short talks from Anna Muggeridge and Sharon Young.

Mini talks by:

Sharon Young - [A]gainst nature’s consent: Seventeenth-century midwifery manuals and the conception of twins.

Anna Muggeridge - The (Birth) Story So Far: What we know about maternity care in Worcester since the First World War.
