My Time on Work Experience

A second week of a Worcestershire High School student spending a week with The Infirmary to find out what working in a museum is all about.

I have enjoyed my time at the Infirmary thoroughly; everyone was welcoming and pleasant to me. I was taken on tours and experienced many different skills, such as, public speaking, teaching and people skills.

The museum was very relevant to my History GCSE and it was good to be revising a little more on the subjects I am doing and to learn even more incredible things that they used to do in the Infirmary. I have also learnt that there is more to museums than you think, like drama and an understanding of teaching. I have had an enjoyable and informative work placement and I can be proud of this week. The Infirmary Museum has definitely fulfilled my expectations and I am grateful for the team allowing me to spend the week shadowing them.
