Cera Flava, commonly known as Yellow Beeswax is wax obtained from the honeycomb of the Honey Bee.
Synonyms - Apis mellifica
Habitat - Countries with temperate and tropical climates.
Uses - Used in the making of plasters and ointments.
Characteristics - Has a pleasant honey-like odour. Yellow beeswax is a yellowish-brown solid slightly brittle when cold but with a soft plastic like texture when warmed in the hand.
