One of the museum’s collection of ten death masks.
There is a copy of this death mask in the collections of Edinburgh University (6883). It has been identified by them as ‘Rev Martin’, but we have been unable to find any further information. There is another copy of this found in the collections of Winchester City Council (4972.8).
On the base of the back of the head there is a number “64” engraved, but no other maker marks.
